I was born there & lived there for the first 9 years of my life. Not far from where you are actually - my sister lives in Lafayette; I was born in Crawfordsville.

Yep, pretty close. I used to live in South Bend, but moved down here to take a job at Purdue. If you ever come visit, drop me a line and we'll do lunch. 8)

Very cool - I've been to South Bend as well. My sister's husband goes to Purdue; they live right on-campus.

Not sure - I rarely talk to my sister (she & I are very different) ... not sure if you would have met Todd (her husband & the student @ Perdue)

I understand entirely. It's probably unlikely I've met him -- it's a huge campus (about 38,000 students), and I don't leave my office much.

Anyway, if you *do* happen to stop by these parts sometime, offer stands. 8)
